Smiles & Squeaks

A glimpse of Sasha's smiles and squeaks (be patient, she takes time to warm up to the camera...)

Doubled Up

Sasha is now 4.9kg (10.8 lbs -- sorry, had incorrectly quoted 11.5 lbs previously), close to double her birth weight! Her head is a more manageable size, so her neck has gotten strong enough that she can support her head fairly well. Tummy time is getting more fun...

Random.

More random photos collected in the last week...

A nice little impromptu dinner

Sasha meeting Yeh-yeh for the first time

Visiting with another old Tokyo friend, up at The Peak

An ecstatic Sofie, always ready to take the wheel
She kind of looks like this thing she is riding...

New Sneaks

Sofie breaking in her new sneakers... they light up when she walks, so we had to train her to run in them without trying to look at them at the same time. Not sure our neighbors totally enjoyed us "sprinting" up and down the hallways several times!

Swoga

Swoga = Swimming + Yoga

Dance Party

Was there ever any doubt that Sofie would drag Sasha into being her dance partner, as soon as infantly possible?
(note: this was also back in Tokyo, about 3 weeks ago)

No More Diligent Posts

Here's Sasha, being all cute and irresistable, a few weeks back at her 2 month check-up.

"Yes, I'll lift my head up for 1.5 seconds to look at that. Whatever it is."

"Oh Dr. Che, you're so funny! I have no idea idea that you're about to jab me in the leg with 3 needles."

Pictures

Sorry, no time to do anything except slap up some random recent photos... We've been doing more than just sitting around in our gorgeous apartment, but it just hasn't been captured.

Sasha and her ever-present pacifier. She has that "hands-OFF-my-paci" look.
Have attempted to give her really cutesy pink pacifiers with beautiful hearts and such, but no dice.

Sof has to get her old flings from Tokyo out of her mind... here she is with a new boy in her life, Spencer. They are fishing for rocks together.

Our little squeaker is now our little chunker.

Here's an artistic photo of Sasha, taken by Sofie. She's in an electronics-obsessed phase and has learned how to use my digital camera.

Guess who just woke up! Reading the morning paper with Daddy...

The fairy princess lives on... Mommy accidentally stuffed all the ballet and fairy costumes into storage, so we had to find a replacement...

Last Tango in Tokyo, Pt 2

One of our last meals - Champagne buffet, complete with a chocolate fondue fountain. You can only imagine Sofie's feelings about that.

A very tired Mommy giving into the pleas of Sofie needing more chocolate.

Saying goodbye to some of Sofie's favorite friends, sniffle...

Last Tango in Tokyo

We loved our two years in Tokyo, but we just can't seem to stay put. We spent a good two weeks saying our goodbyes, and wining and dining ourselves until we couldn't take it anymore... then hopped on a flight and we are now calling Hong Kong home!

Sofie says a last good-bye to her beloved teachers...

Even more sad, saying good-bye to our helper, Cora, who we all relied on to keep the family sane. She truly loved and cared for our children dearly!
(Anyone looking for a helper in Tokyo?)

We've come full circle: the first time we visited Tokyo for a look-see, it was just the two of us, and we stayed at The Westin in Ebisu... Here we are again in from of the Westin, waiting for our ride to leave Tokyo almost three years later - now as a family of four!

Sniffle sniffle... about to surrender our Japan Alien Registration Cards...

All Sofie cares about is her cushy business class seat! Kids these days...

"I can't BELIEVE we're moving again..."

Sasha's first flight!! Luckily, aside from the time of these pictures, she slept the entire flight....

Potty Perspectives

Being the modern girl she is, Sofie passes her time on the potty using an iPhone rather than reading the traditional newspaper or book. Wasn't Daddy surprised when he discovered that she had thoughtfully left him a photo vignette of her perspective...
